Should your computer malfunction and your work be lost, think of the man in another country who was born into poverty and is illiterate, how he would long to be able to write those words again.
Should you agonize over a new found grey hair, think of the cancer patient who wishes she had that hair to examine.
Should your car break down, leaving you stranded and miles from any assistance, think of the paraplegic who would give anything to take that walk.
Should you have a bad day at work, think of the man who has been out of work for years.
Should you grieve over the end of an enjoyable weekend, think of the woman in another country who works 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, just to be able to feed her children.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people’s ignorance or bitterness, be thankful. They are just our teachers, reminding us of the path not to take. When you find yourself in these difficult situations with others, always remember, it could be worse, you could be one of them!
